[London] Collect 2023 at Somerset House

London's Somerset House hosted Collect 2023 an international art fair dedicated to modern craft and design. The event, which took place from 3rd to 5th March, is a must-see for anyone with an interest in contemporary art and design.

I was fortunate to get VIP tickets from my friend and I couldn't have been more excited since many of Loewe's Prize-Winning works are also displayed there.

There were 40 galleries, showcasing an incredible variety of work. There were several Korean galleries and artists present, which was especially thrilling and a good surprise. It was really busy and crowded, and people were quite excited about all the artwork. I could see many pieces had already been sold out.
 

Beautiful glass works presented by Korean Gallery, SKLO were all quite memorable. 

 
The exhibition featured the work of hundreds of artists and designers from around the world, presenting a diverse range of styles and techniques. They included stunning ceramics and glassware, and I could see brilliant and cute ideas and mastery of technique in every piece.

It looks like threads are carefully arranged and sewn on a clean surface. And even for that, it is an exquisite skill. 
I was astonished in a good way when I found that this work is a glass drawing on glass.

What was particularly impressive about the exhibition was the way the artwork was displayed in the beautiful space of Somerset House. The building's architecture provided a stunning backdrop for the artwork, and the natural light that flooded the space worked really well with the pieces on display.

 
 
One of my favourite pieces was a beautiful vase made by a Korean artist. It was so delicate and intricate, and I couldn't believe the level of detail that went into creating it. I also loved the glassware, which featured unique shapes and designs that were both functional and beautiful.
 
The event provided a unique opportunity to see the work of talented artists from all around the world and gain a deeper appreciation for the art of modern craft and design in the beautiful space of Somerset House.
